Let's Collaborate
Hi, I'm Jeff Fiedler
I am available for work on projects that promote the issues, values and wellbeing of older people and housing.
My focus is on bringing forward the voice of older people on the importance of housing, the meaning of home and how it provides a connection to good physical and mental health, financial sustainability and connection to community.
I can produce work in a range of forms such as podcast, documentary, sound bites or segments linked to narrative. These can be linked to organisation websites or developed as part of project initiatives.
I have a long history of working with and for older people in a respectful and collaborative style. Final production involves editorial control and input by the older people involved and the funding agency.
Projects must align with Housewell Agewell’s core principles of housing and human rights, affordability, security, adaptability and within a community development framework. I have a long history and knowledge of tenants legal rights, retirement housing including villages and residential parks, community housing, independent living units and public housing.
Some examples of potential projects:
- Community agencies that are campaigning around the needs of older people at risk of homelessness
- Public and community housing providers promoting the connection between the organisation’s housing and the value it brings to the lives of older tenants
- Retirement communities that are focused on the needs of older people
- Academic institutions seeking to promote their research
- Government departments that aim to promote the benefits of public and social housing for ageing in place
- Broader oral history projects promoting the lives of older people including their struggles and personal resilience, family dynamics, contributions to society and the wisdom of elders.
